Freddie Mercury (1946-1991) was a musician, composer, singer and vocalist for the British band Queen. Known as one of the greatest rock singers of all time, Freddie Mercury was the stage name chosen by Farrokh Bulsara. Passionate about music, Freddie showed interest in the piano in his childhood. In addition to musical talent, the singer and composer had some peculiarities that helped him in the vocal part. Mercury had four more teeth (the incisors), legend has it that the width of the mouth helped to potentiate the singer’s voice.

During graduation, the boy started singing in a band called Wreckage. Roger Taylor (1949) and Brain May (1947), in turn, had a band called Smile. When the Smile frontman left, Freddie Mercury replaced him and the boys decided to change the name of the ensemble to Queen. One of the most emblematic moments for the band led by Freddie was the appearance at the Live Aid charity concert in 1985.

Freddie Mercury was diagnosed with AIDS in 1987, the day after the publication of the statement on his illness, Freddie died of pneumonia at his mansion in Kensington (London). Premature death, at the age of 45, was a consequence of complications caused by HIV.
